North East poets are invited to meet each other and share their work at this fun, informal and supportive event where writers get to road-test their work-in-progress in front of a live audience.

There will be scheduled performances from emerging Durham poets, and open-mic slots for members of the audience to share their own work.

This event follows Durham Writes, our programme of poetry-writing workshops that took place around County Durham this spring and summer, led by poet Katharine Goda and producer Amy Lord.

Bring a friend and a piece of writing, or just come along and enjoy new work.

This event will be chaired by North East poet and performer, Rowan McCabe, known as the Door-to-Door Poet following his literary mission across the UK writing poetry inspired by the people’s stories.
